All participants will be required to complete their Award via the Online Record Book (ORB) If you have a record book you are still welcome to use it but any new Awardees or those who are moving up to the next level will need to access the ORB to record all your activities for the Award.
I've included more information below on how to use the ORB.
ORB REQUIREMENTS
Be sure to note the following key points when completing the Service, Skill and Physical Recreation sections in the ORB: -
1. Whole months
You are required to show regular commitment towards their Award (generally 1hr per week or 2hrs per fortnight)
This should be expressed in whole months - for example 23 May to 23 November equals six whole months
If you are unable to participate in their activity regularly - for example over the school holidays, they will be required to make up this time so that the total months equal the relevant Award level requirements (e.g. 3,6,12 or 18 whole months)
2. Activity dates
Please ensure that hours are logged as the day they were done, rather than spreading hours across multiple weeks
The algorithm can be confusing, so accurate dates & hours help give a true picture of when you undertook your activities
3. Assessors and activity reports
Please ensure the following information is correctly uploaded for every section on the ORB:
Each activity and Adventurous Journey has its own Assessor’s Report (if there are 3 separate activities in one section, 3 reports are required)
Reports must be either completed via the ORB process (link emailed to assessor to complete online) or handwritten, signed and dated. Typed Word documents or edited PDFs are not acceptable
All Assessors’ details are completed in their relevant section
The Assessor must be over 18 years of age, independent and not related to the participant
Note: You can also download our brand new Participant app to access the Online Record Book anytime, anywhere.
